Nearest Tubes:
Tower Hill on the district line will take you to Embankment (Charing Cross Road) This is 7 stops. Also Bermonsey Tube (Jubilee Line) is a 10 minute walk.
Also the new Thames Clipper commuter Boat stops at The Tower and will take you to The Shakespeares Globe, The Tate, and eventually to the London Eye and The Aquarium/Southbank Centre.
Area
Shad Thames is a Street Path, as well as a River Path. This is area is also known as "The Larder of London". It features many historic wharfs and warehouses and it is not difficult to imagine the hustle and bustle of River life in a bygone age. This is where ships docked along side their wharfs to unload cargo, such as tea, spices and silk from China. Many of the original wharehouses have kept their names and character. Most are now converted into restaurants and wine bars.
As you walk along Shad Thames from Tower Bridge you will pass the Design Museum on your way to the apartment.
When you leave the Apartment, follow the river path and you will pass along the following:

If you decide to walk further along, which would be around 45 minutes to an hours walk, you will eventually arrive at The London Eye and The South Bank Centre....otherwise the boat will take you there in 10 minutes.

Outdoor space in a central London Apartment is a rare luxury! Not only do we have a very spacious terrace-but also breathtaking views. Doors in the bedroom and living area lead outside. Amazing views towards Canary Wharf. Sunny south facing. Has chairs and sun beds.
Very well equipped with electric oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee filter, fridge, freezer, washing machine/dryer and iron and ironing board. All of the necessary equipment is provided for cooking plus plenty of cups and glasses. The electric oven has 4 hobs, oven, grill and extractor fan fitted above. The two kitchen cubards light up either inside or underneath for softer lighting in the evening. Washing up liquid, sponges and tea towels, plus washing machine detergent and black bin bags are provided. Basic condiments of salt and peppers and sauces are also available.
Lounge/Dining Area
We have a TV, connected to a DVD and Video - with remote control for all. The TV has all digital channels, including Radio.
Bathroom
Large bath, power shower, basin and WC and heated towel rail. ans shaving adapter. All towels are 100% Egyptian cotton.
On arrival, all guests are provided with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and antibacterial hand gel. The bathroom is also provided with tissues and air freshners.
 
Bedroom
The bed is a super king size. All sheets and pillow cases/duvets are 100% Egyptian cotton. There is also a TV/Video with a selection of
children's videos and box office hits.

On arrival you will be shown and guided through comprehensive folder giving all the information you may need regarding the local area ...supermarkets -with opening hours - transport and timetables, tourist attractions. a photocopy of each is provided for you to keep with you.
