Area
Do some celebrity spotting in this area ! A simply stunning location that will take your breath away. You have a choice of walking home on the Shad Thames River Path or Shad Thames Street Path. I have put pictures of both on this advert. The River Path gives an amazing view of The City (St Paul's/"The Gherkin" /Tower Bridge) and to the East Canary Wharf (our mini Mannhatten!) Stunning by day, breathtaking by night. When London was a busy port, this was a major warehouse storage area, and the buildings (now most apartments and restaurants) are protected which means they can't be altered or knocked down so they all keep their original signs and character (Cinnamon Wharf etc) the streets are cobbled and steeped in history. It's a real desirable area (or DesRes as they say!) because it has views of both the Tower Bridge and the City, to the West plus the skyscraper skyline to the East. Everyone wants to be here. Do not miss this opportunity ! But don't take my word for it...Put Shad Thames in any search engine and be amazed !
Perhaps best known for Terrance Conran's restaurant, where the Clintons and Blairs famously dined.
The mean, moody lanes within the complex enjoyed brief fame as a Dr Who film set during the early eighties, and have featured in dozens of films – film crews are a regular occurance.
